How to Make a Simple Bag Fo Incidentals
I had four children and found these bags indespensible for keeping their special things in. When we went out for the day they just grabbed their bag and we were set!Every time I made a garment or furnishings, I made a bag or two out of the remnants. I always kept two or three in our suitcases to put shoes in when packing.I had one to put my velcro rollers in and hung it on the bathroom dresser

Fold fabric right sides together with the edges at the top.Baste, then stitch the side seams together.Turn right side out after trimming seams.

Turn down top hem about one inch, leaving room for elastic or cord to be inserted.Baste and stitch, leaving small space so that you can insert cord by attaching a small safety pin at one end.

o make handles. cut a piece as long as you would like the handles, turn inside out and sew.Trim seam. Turn so right sides are out by maybe using a pencil to push it out. Neaten end. Attach to bag. If you want a ruffled edge, sew a piece of bias binding about four inches below top edge with an opening each side of bag for cord.
