I have found over the years by watching my aunt who’s a makeup freak, that Vaseline has many uses in beauty. Not just for “styling your hair” (whatever that means) or applying to facial scratches in place of witch hazel, you can use Vaseline for things like:

1. EYE LASHES:
Apply Vaseline to your eye lashes to make them look dark and sleek.

2. YOUR FACE:
It can be used on your face to give you a beautiful, dewy complexion. But beware; Marilyn Monroe loved this “trick” but said it left her face fuzzy. (supposedly it traps heat in your skin and can cause more peach fuzz to grow)

3. LIP GLOSS:
Need I say more?

4.AS WET-SHINE BLUSH:
This is colorless and can be applied on naked skin or over matte blush. Apply a thin layer to the apples of your cheeks.

5. EYE GLOSS:
Just don’t put too much! Apply a very thin layer to lids or brow bone. Too much Vaseline can be sticky & gooey.

6. FOR ALL OVER BODY:
You can use it on your bare arms and legs. This really makes legs look nice! Just remember that Vaseline contains no SPF.

7. PROTECTION FROM HAIR DYE:
Apply it around your hairline; forehead, sideburns, nape of neck etc… BEFORE you dye your hair to avoid stains on your skin.

Use Petroleum jelly in its true form for these beauty tricks. Creme Vaseline isn’t recommended.

Step 2

Vaseline is best applied (for face) with clean fingertips or a cotton swab.

Step 3

When removing Vaseline from skin, I recommend first wiping away excess petroleum jelly with a dry wash cloth. Afterward, wash away Vaseline with mild soap, preferably a sugar scrub or body/face wash with microbeads. Vaseline can be greasy and hard to remove with water and soap alone.
